Things I am thankful for today…

A friend of mine sent me a text the other day… it said “Attitude of Gratitude, Progress-not Perfection.”  He is an AA man, so I can only speculate that it it comes from something in that realm; but what powerful words to live by…

He has recently started a “things I like about you” exchange… you go, I go… and I have enjoyed the half-witted exchange… It strokes my ego a little bit… and allows me to see things about myself from another point of view.

I might just entertain the exchange with more than one friend… and with my children… hmmmmm… Thinking… Thinking…

Alas… things I am thankful for today… cupboard doors… till you go a year without them, you won’t know… add that to your list today… and then think about life without them… Sigh…

I am thankful for a quick expedient processor that makes me look really good to my clients.  They rock!

I am thankful for the fact that I GET TO GO to work again … one more day… for a multitude of reasons… starting with… I learn something new from my male boss EVERY SINGLE TIME I see him, whether that be in observation or in conversation… the day I quit learning from him is the day I need to seek alternative employment!

I will have more $ in my pocket tonight than I did yesterday… that is always a good thing.

I get to see more great clients and learn more new things about some really great people.

I am thankful for a selfless sister… she teaches me how I wish I could be.

I am thankful for my friend Angela… May God Bless and Keep Her though this time in her life…. I am excited to see where she goes.

I am thankful that I have heat in my home… because the blistering cold is far more severe to the soul than the excruciating heat of the summer.

I am growing each day… bettering myself and my children to a greater tomorrow.  Thanks be to God for the path we have walked that has brought us today!
