Senior Portrait Tips: The Hair

This entry is part 15 of 15 in the series Senior Portrait Tips

Resist the urge to try a new hair color or cut before your senior portrait session.  Make plans to sport a style that you know you rock and in which you are totally comfortable.

For Girls:

  • Consider employing a stylist for the day.  Though this isn’t a MUST, it will help you feel extra good about yourself, and is sure to produce a style that is humidity resistant and reflective of a wonderful timeless look.
  • If you have both straight and curly “looks” consider starting with one and ending with the other, or employ your photographer for two sessions (Christina does have options for this).

For Boys:

  • If you are getting a hair cut, ensure it happens a week or so before you have your portraits created.
  • If you and your mama are arguing over facial hair… let her know you are MORE THAN WILLING to shave mid way through your senior session.  (Christina will allow you plenty of time).
  • If you are debating the long/short look… DO BOTH.  Christina has options for multiple look sessions.  Give her a call.  She can make it happen.
