HAIR & MAKE-UP :: You may want to consider having your hair and make up professionally done to give your portraits that polished look.
Specialty sessions (i.e. vintage, intimate, etc.) are sessions for which Christina highly recommends professional hair and make up as it greatly affects the feel of the time period for your session. Schedule your apt at the salon at the same time you schedule your session. Christina has many referrals to offer to that end. Just ask! recommendation.
CLOTHES :: Once you determine your artistic direction of your session, you will need to begin making choices in clothing. You may have several options, Christina is available to help you make final decisions. Feel free to bring an assortment of items including shoes, jewelry, jackets, or sentimental items.
GETTING BETTER PORTRAITS :: With exceptional communication prior to the session, and artistic freedom of photographer during the session, (i.e. you allow the photographer artistic free rein over the session), you will love your portraits much more than if you try to micromanage your session. Trust Christina to create fabulous things. Sit back, relax and enjoy your session.
IMAGES ARE HAND SELECTED :: After your session, the Sloan Images team will go through your images one at a time. Christina will then hand select images that have the utmost potential for post-processing. Clients know that when their images premiere, they are the best of the best from the entire session.
YOUR PORTRAITS ARE PROCESSED :: The selected portraits are processed based upon the artistic direction you chose with Christina during the planning process. The processing is the most extensive part of the photography process, often taking 5x as long as the session to complete. Deluxe post processing includes skin smoothing, blemish removal, digital curves adjustments for narrower waistlines, color enhancements, hair treatments (makes your hair vibrant, smooth, and shiny), etc.
YOUR POST PROCESSED IMAGES ARE READY :: You will receive an email or phone call when your post processed images are ready for viewing. Premieres are typically within seven days of your portrait session. A “proof” is an image that is used to represent the final product — a straight out of the camera (SOOC) file. Every session comes with a predetermined number of digital proofs — meaning, there is no paper copy. It is rare for a SOOC image to be presented at premieres.
PURCHASING PRINTS & PRODUCTS :: At your premiere, your images will be presented in our private studio. You elect to see only the best of the best, and totally processed shots from your session. Many clients come prepared to place their order at their image premiere, and there are incentives available if you choose to do so.
Christina elects to place processed images online for a limited time for viewing by friends and family once your initial order is placed. Please note that different monitors will make your portraits appear differently. When you see your images in the studio they are an accurate representation of what you are going to purchase.
You may choose what prints and products you would like to order at your premiere. You may bring anyone with you to your premiere who is interested in ordering prints and products. Most clients know exactly what they want and order on the spot.
For your convenience, all major credit cards are accepted.
